Introduction to the Course
The Coding for Kids (PP1–PP2) course introduces young learners to basic coding and digital skills through play-based learning, storytelling, games, and interactive activities. Aligned with the Kenyan CBC/CBE curriculum, the program helps children develop creativity, logical thinking, communication, and problem-solving skills while learning how technology works.
Using beginner-friendly tools such as ScratchJr, learners explore simple concepts like sequencing, directions, patterns, animations, and digital storytelling in a fun and safe environment. The course builds an early foundation for future learning in coding, robotics, and STEM education.
The course objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, the child will be able to:

Course Audience for Coding for Kids (PP1–PP2)
This course is designed for:
- Learners in PP1 and PP2 following the Kenyan Competency-Based Education (CBE/CBC) curriculum.
- Children aged approximately 4–6 years.
- Young learners with little or no prior experience in coding or computers.
- Children interested in technology, games, storytelling, creativity, and digital activities.
- Early learners who enjoy hands-on, play-based, and interactive learning experiences.
- Schools, learning centers, holiday bootcamps, coding clubs, and homeschooling programs introducing digital literacy and coding to young children.
- Parents seeking to develop their children’s early digital, creative, and problem-solving skills in a safe and enjoyable environment.
